October 24, 2024 Ag KWFT MD Kariuki Kitabu welcomed Thomas Thompson Essel, Secretary General of the African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (AFRACA) for a courtesy visit. As a member of AFRACA, KWFT has long partnered with the association to drive innovative financial solutions that benefit rural and agricultural communities across Kenya. This visit highlighted the ongoing collaboration between KWFT and AFRACA in promoting financial inclusion for smallholder farmers and underserved populations.

This visit reaffirms KWFT’s dedication to its mission of empowering rural communities through tailored financial services. With AFRACA’s support, KWFT continues to play a key role in transforming the agricultural sector and contributing to the economic empowerment of rural Kenya.

As part of Customer Service Week celebrations, Ag Managing Director Kariuki Kitabu made a special visit to the River Road branch which is one of KWFT’s Nairobi-serving branches. The visit showcased KWFT’s commitment to staying connected with its customers and providing exceptional support.

Several customers who visited the branch had the opportunity to engage with Mr. Kariuki, sharing their experiences, challenges and aspirations for their businesses. Mr. Kariuki reiterated KWFT’s unwavering dedication to helping its clients grow their businesses and improve their lives through tailored financial solutions.

On October 11th, KWFT hosted a delegation from AAR Insurance, led by their Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) Justine Kosgei. Accompanied by two relationship managers, the AAR team visited to reinforce the ongoing collaboration between AAR Insurance and KWFT. AAR Insurance, an underwriter for KWFT, has been instrumental in providing critical insurance solutions to KWFT’s clients and staff. This visit was in observance of customer service week.

The delegation was received by Ag Managing Director Kariuki Kitabu, Director Credit Admin Jackline Ogero and General Manager Human Resources Carol Mungai. This collaboration underscores the importance of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being providing both institutions an opportunity to highlight the importance of their partnership in delivering health and financial security solutions to the communities they serve.

This visit underscored KWFT and AAR Insurance’s shared commitment to serving their customers with excellence and working together to build a healthier and more secure future for all.

KWFT staff from various regions enthusiastically celebrated Customer Service Week in their offices, dressed in vibrant African wear that symbolized unity and cultural pride. This provided an opportunity to recognize staff for their dedication and commitment to providing financial solutions to the communities.

The celebrations featured a special cake-cutting ceremony with customers to mark the occasion and appreciate them for banking with KWFT.

KWFT reaffirms its commitment to continue serving its customers through its branch network of 190 branches across 45 out of 47 Kenyan counties, delivering financial services that empower individuals and communities.

On Wednesday, October 9th, KWFT marked Customer Service Week with a special customer appreciation event at KWFT Centre in Upperhill. The event brought together 80 attendees.In attendance were KWFT Board Chair Jane Mwai, Board Member Sharlynne Mbai, Ag Managing Director Kariuki Kitabu and senior management  team. The Chief Guest was Moses Kamau Director, Directorate of Social Assistance.

 The celebration served as a platform for KWFT to celebrate and appreciate its customers for their continued support and loyalty.  The event also provided a valuable networking platform for the customers, giving them the chance to connect, share experiences and build relationships.

In her address, Jaine Mwai underscored the critical role customers play in the institution, reiterating that they are the heart of KWFT and their trust in the institution is its driving force. Ag Managing Director Kariuki Kitabu reaffirmed KWFT’s commitment to customer satisfaction, stating that the institution remains dedicated to improving services and enhancing the customer experience.

A highlight of the event was the sharing of personal success stories by some of the customers, who detailed how KWFT’s financial services have empowered them in their businesses and personal lives. These stories of impact resonated deeply with the audience, reaffirming KWFT’s mission to support and uplift communities.
