Kenya Off- Grid Solar Project (KOSAP) by World Bank implemented by Ministry of Energy targeting to increase uptake of clean cooking solution in 17 marginalized counties.
- RBF – 37% of value of cook stove.
- Kshs 2.7 Million received by KWFT for marketing support.
- 3,171 clean cook stoves sold by KWFT ( Kshs 5.2 Million) against a budget of 2,765 cook stoves ( Ksh 3.8 Million)
- RBF to be received – Kshs 5,188,490
Program for Rural Outreach of Financial Innovations and Technologies (PROFIT) by the National Treasury and IFAD
- Loan for onlending – Kshs 205 Million
- Technical Assistance especially on staff trainings on agribusiness
Inua Jamii Project – KWFT is in one of the Financial Instituions in Kenya to partner in the Social Protection Program to support direct cash transfers to poor and vulnerable populations as well as Orphans:

Development Agencies and NGOS
KWFT recently signed USD 5.5M risk sharing agreement with Africa Guarantee Fund. The funds are to be used to expand lending to women-led or women-owned small and medium enterprises in Kenya. Under the deal, up to USD 22.9M in financing will be unlocked for more than 1,000 women SMEs in the country.
KWFT also will benefit from a Capacity Development Grant support of USD 330,685 to support in enhancing the credit & debt recovery policy, enhancing business process & automation, staff training, financial literacy training for 1000 KWFT WSME’s as well as enhancing the green portfolio at KWFT.

East African Development Bank (EADB)
- Loan Facility of 234 Million at 10% received for on – lending
- Staff training on agri value chain financing done
KWFT received a Grant Support from FSD – Kenya to support on:
- KWFT to enhance MIS System to support in data capturing and analytics on the micro housing portfolio and geotagging of customer location – Kshs 14.6 Million
- Development of KWFT ESG Policy & Strategy- Kshs 6 Million
- Support on Risk Based Lending – Kshs 2 Million
To support achievement of SDG 11, KWFT received Technical Assistance in research and product development of Nyumba Smart ( Housing Microfinance ) from Habitat for Humanity.
- Housing Microfinance Loans worth Kshs 6 Billion disbursed since 2014
- KWFT has been invited to numerous global and national forums to share the success of Micro housing Product ( Nyumba smart)
Partnership on SDG 3 Good health and well-being and SDG 6 Clean water and sanitation. KWFT undertook the following activities:
- Research, product development and product launch
- Staff training on Customer Service and Sales Techniques
- Awareness creation – Advertising and client testimonials
- Customer training on Sanitation- Partnership with Community Health Workers
- Kshs 23 Million Grant given to KWFT to enhance WASH portfolio.
- Within this Partnership, KWFT designed a business loan product to support small and micro entrepreneurs whose businesses had been affected by the Covid – 19 pandemic.
- As at end of June 2021 – 810 women entrepreneurs were able to resuscitate their business with funds worth Kshs 8 Million
Palladium –The Feed the Future Kenya Investment Mechanism (KIM) Program was a Results Based Financing (RBF) partnership project aimed at encouraging KWFT to lend to small holder farmers in 17 counties located in the marginalized areas.
